About

Welcome to my academic website. I am a researcher in the Department of Chemistry at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee under the supervision of Prof. B. V. V. S. Pavan Kumar. My research focuses on the design of life-like microsystems that can autonomously move, communicate, and self-organize through chemomechanical and interfacial phenomena. By integrating stimuli-responsive soft materials such as hydrogels embedded with enzymes and surfactants within stratified chemical or interfacial environments, I aim to uncover new principles of energy transduction, chemical communication, and collective behavior in synthetic systems..

My work seeks to contribute to the fundamental understanding of emergent phenomena in chemical systems and to pave the way for novel applications in areas such as smart materials, drug delivery, and soft robotics. Recent publications include work on self-oscillatory microgel motility in stratified chemical media (Adv. Mater. 2025) and review on chemical communication in artificial cells (Front. Mol. Biosci. 2022). Please explore the Youtube videos site to learn more about my research projects, publications, and other activities.
